Lucknow: Every year on 03 December, on the occasion of World Disabled Day, state level awards are given to individuals and institutions doing excellent work in the field of disability. For these awards, the State Level Award Rules-2017 is in vogue by the Department of Disabled Persons, in which 12 different categories have been arranged.
State Minister (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Disabled Empowerment of the State Government, Narendra Kashyap said that as per the rules, applications are being invited for these awards by doing extensive publicity. Interested persons or institutions can contact the Disabled Persons Officer Office of the concerned district and apply in the prescribed format till 15 July.
Under the State Level Award Rules-2017, categories have been set for the award which include State Level Award for Skilled Disabled Employee/Self Employed Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best Employer and Best Placement Officer or Agency for Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best Person and Best Institution Working for Disabled Person, State Level Award for Inspirational Source, State Level Award for Best New Research or Product Development for Improving the Life of Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best Work for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment for Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best District Providing Rehabilitation Services to Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best Creative Disabled Adult Person and Best Boy/Girl, State Level Award for Best Braille Press, State Level Award for Best Website Suitable for Disabled Person, State Level Award for Best Disabled Sportsperson and State Level Award for Officer/Employee Working for Empowerment of Disabled Person. He urged all the eligible candidates and institutions doing excellent work in the field of disability to apply on time so that their services can be honored.
